Abstract

El estudio de los Trastornos de la Conducta Alimentaria ha cobrado importancia debido a su elevada prevalencia en la población; padecimientos como bulimia nerviosa, anorexia nerviosa y trastorno por atracón, afectan la salud física y mental. Estas alteraciones implican distorsiones cognitivas sobre el peso y figura, así como el comportamiento alimentario. La sintomatología afecta a la persona en su estado de salud, componente emocional, capacidad de resolución de problemas, relaciones interpersonales y ausentismo académico o laboral.
