The author of this paper provides a review of the book entitled Dijalektologija crnogorskoga jezika (Dialectology of the Montenegrin Language) by Adnan Čirgić. The main parts of the book are discussed, including the way in which Čirgić dismissed the decades-long traditionalist assumption of the division of Montenegrin speech patterns into two sharply opposing dialects. Finally, the author concludes with reflection on the importance of this immeasurable contribution to Montenegrin dialectology.
