Hidroterapia no tratamento do acidente vascular cerebral: estudo de caso

Abstract

O Acidente Vascular Cerebral (AVC), é um sinal clínico de inicio súbito,que pode causar choque aos pacientes e seus familiares, desencadeandoseqüelas conforme a extensão e o local do encéfalo acometido por morteneuronal e a hidroterapia vem a ser um recurso diferenciado para areabilitação de indivíduos que apresentam seqüelas deste episódio. Esteestudo foi realizado com uma paciente de 63 anos, com seqüela deAcidente Vascular Cerebral que foi submetida a exercícios queproporcionam maior coordenação, equilíbrio e força muscular e,sobretudo uma melhora psicológica. As sessões foram realizadas naClínica Escola de Fisioterapia UNINGÁ – Maringá - PR, duas vezes porsemana durante cinco semanas, com o intuito de melhorar amplitude demovimento do hemicorpo direito, coordenação, equilíbrio e forçamuscular dos membros inferiores. No final observou melhora dacoordenação motora e psicológica, que também foi relatada pelo paciente.Assim, verificamos os benefícios da hidroterapia na qualidade de vidageral do paciente.
