Sistema de cotas universitárias no Brasil

Abstract

Este estudo objetivou analisar os dados do Censo do ensino superior em relação ao acesso ao ensino superior através da lei de cotas (nº 12.711/2012) entre os anos de 2012 a 2018, bem como quantificar os perfis dos cotistas no Brasil. Trata-se de pesquisa quanti-quali, com método indutivo, descritivo e ex-post-facto. A partir da análise dos dados, infere-se que os perfis dos cotistas (autodeclarados) segundo a cor/raça, gênero e sexualidade em Instituições Federais de Ensino, por ordem de relevância, são: negros, brancos, amarelos, a comunidade de trans e indígenas. Salienta-se que a educação teve inúmeros retrocessos, provavelmente por ser gerida por políticos sem qualquer vínculo com as práticas pedagógicas nem com seus princípios de emancipação, mas que, ainda assim, interferem na matriz curricular.
