
En esta investigación se explora el kimono, desde la perspectiva de la identidad. La construcción de iconos está muy ligada con la construcción de estereotipos, porque ambos simplifican nuestro modo de ver y estar en el mundo. El kimono es una indumentaria característica de Japón, que sirvió y sigue siendo un reclamo publicitario para aproximarnos a su país y su cultura. Desde que Japón abriera sus fronteras a mediados del siglo XIX, el occidental ha deseado vestir esta prenda, y visitar su lugar de origen.
