Abstract

Attraverso un'analisi di interviste semi-strutturate condotte con esponenti di alcune tra le più rappresentative organizzazioni del rione Esquilino della città di Roma, il capitolo restituisce i risultati di un progetto di ricerca transdisciplinare (antropologia, geografia, sociologia) sul tessuto associativo del rione Esquilino. L'analisi si sofferma su cinque aspetti connotativi emersi dalle interviste: 1) l'intenso attivismo civico; 2) la forte frammentazione territoriale; 3) l'informalità giuridica; 4) le affinità e contrapposizioni che regolano le relazioni tra associazioni; 5) la reciproca convenienza che guida i rapporti con gli attori istituzionali.
