Abstract

Pasolini è sempre stato considerato autore vicino al popolo, intento a rinnovare gli stilemi del cinema e della letteratura neorealisti, che a partire dagli anni ’60 si andavano sempre più logorando. Attento ascoltatore della cultura popolare delle borgate, è un autore che è sempre stato accomunato ai suoi “ragazzi di vita”, che sapeva descrivere, e quindi amare, nelle loro caratteristiche più singolari e vitali. Ma esiste un Pasolini diverso, “entomologo” della borghesia italiana, classe sociale che, per indole e abitudini di vita, non amava e da cui non era riamato, ma alla quale lo stesso Pasolini apparteneva per nascita, per estrazione e per formazione. È il Pasolini autore di opere capitali come “Teorema”, “Porcile”, “La Divina Mimesis”, “Petrolio”. Come afferma giustamente Riccardo Rosati nella prefazione a questo volume, l’attacco di Pasolini alla borghesia è un attacco “dal di dentro, non dal di fuori”, fatto da un autore che cercava disperatamente una via di uscita ad una entropia che rischiava, complici i mezzi di comunicazione di massa e il sistema politico-sociale e delle infrastrutture dell’epoca, di causare un “genocidio” delle culture popolari ed etniche senza precedenti nella storia umana recente.
