Atributos químicos do solo com o uso de gesso e milheto de cobertura em cultivares de abacaxizeiro

Abstract

Com objetivo de avaliar os atributos químicos de solo em que se usou cultura de cobertura e gesso agrícola para o cultivo de abacaxizeiro, realizou-se um experimento em um Latossolo Vermelho-Amarelo no município de Cáceres, MT. Foram estudadas quatro cultivares de abacaxizeiro: Pérola, Havaí, IAC Fantástico e Imperial; dois níveis de correção do solo: com e sem gesso agrícola; e dois níveis de manejo: com e sem cultura de cobertura. Na presença de gesso agrícola houve redução significativa do pH (de 4,88 para 4,77) e aumento dos teores de fósforo (de 22,72 mg.dm-3 para 48,79 mg.dm-3) e da saturação de bases (de 62% para 67%) para a camada de 0-20 cm. Houve aumento significativo nos teores de matéria orgânica associado à presença de gesso apenas para a cultivar Havaí. Não foi constatado influência da aplicação de gesso nos teores de potássio, cálcio, magnésio e na capacidade de troca de cátions. A cultura de cobertura com milheto aumentou significativamente o pH (de 4,72 para 4,92), os teores de fósforo (de 11,83 mg.dm-3para 74,51 mg.dm-3), matéria orgânica (de 14,4 g.dm-1 para 17,2 g.dm-1), a capacidade de troca de cátions (de 3,04 cmolc/dm3 para 3,47 cmolc/dm3) e a saturação de bases (de 61,92% para 67,99%). Assim, observaram-se efeitos do manejo com cobertura do solo e correção com gesso nas características químicas do solo, mantendo níveis adequados de nutrientes no solo ao final do ciclo.
