Plantas de cobertura na supressão do crescimento de Amaranthus deflexus

Abstract

O objetivo do presente estudo foi avaliar diferentes plantas de cobertura em níveis de fitomassa na emergência e crescimento inicial de Amaranthus deflexus. O experimento foi realizado em casa de vegetação, em um delineamento experimental em blocos casualizados, com quatro repetições, em esquema fatorial (8 x 4) + 1, sendo: 8 espécies de plantas de cobertura [Pennisetum glaucum, Crambe abyssinica, Urochloa brizantha, Stylosanthes (capitata e macrocephala), Sorghum bicolor, Vigna unguiculata, Crotalarias juncea e Crotalaria ocroleuca] e 4 níveis de fitomassa (4 t ha-1; 8 t ha-1; 12 t ha-1 e 16 t ha-1, em que metade foi incorporada e a outra disposta sobre a superfície do solo), mais 1 tratamento sem cobertura do solo. As plantas de cobertura, a partir de 4 t ha-1 de fitomassa, se mostraram eficientes na redução da emergência e crescimento de A. deflexus, com destaque para U. brizantha, S. bicolor, P. glaucum e Stylosanthes sp.
