Abstract

A uniformidade e o tamanho das gotas produzidas durante a pulverizacao e a correta deposicao destas no alvo contribuem diretamente para o sucesso de uma aplicacao de produtos fitossanitarios. Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho foi caracterizar o jato aspergido em pulverizacoes aerea e terrestre na cultura da batata, complementadas com a utilizacao de adjuvante na calda de aplicacao. O experimento foi realizado em duplicata em lavouras comerciais de batata, em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, em esquema fatorial 6 × 2, sendo seis formas de aplicacao (aerea, com 15 e 30 L ha–1, empregando-se atomizador rotativo, e terrestre, utilizando-se pontas de jato plano duplo com inducao de ar e jato conico vazio, com 200 e 400 L ha–1 cada uma) e duas composicoes de calda (agua e agua mais o adjuvante fosfatidilcoline + acido propionico). O espectro de gotas foi avaliado por meio de imagens de papeis hidrossensiveis. Os menores tamanhos de gotas e amplitudes relativas foram produzidos pelas aplicacoes aereas; em contrapartida, os maiores diâmetros de gotas e a menor percentagem de gotas menores que 100 μm foram obtidos com a utilizacao das pontas de jato plano duplo com inducao de ar. A utilizacao do adjuvante nao interferiu no diâmetro da mediana numerica e volumetrica, na amplitude relativa e na porcentagem do volume de gotas menores que 100 μm.
