Suplementação alimentar com carboquelato de cromo e efeito da densidade de estocagem em pacus

Abstract

O objetivo foi avaliar o desempenho de pacus Piaractus mesopotamicus, alimentados com racao suplementada com cromo orgânico, mantidos em diferentes densidades de estocagem. Foi utilizado um delineamento inteiramente casualizado com um esquema fatorial 4 x 2 x 3, correspondendo a quatro concentracoes de cromo orgânico (0, 6, 12 mg kg-1, 18 mg kg-1 de racao), duas densidades de estocagem (4 e 20 kg m-3) e tres periodos de coleta (30, 60 e 90 dias) com quatro repeticoes. Os resultados revelaram que nao houve interferencia do cromo orgânico no consumo de racao, no ganho de peso, no indice de conversao alimentar e na taxa de crescimento especifico. O efeito da densidade de estocagem interferiu nos parâmetros de qualidade de agua, com consequencia no desempenho. As concentracoes de cromo orgânico utilizados nao foram suficientes para observar efeitos beneficos e garantir melhor desempenho. Dessa forma maiores concentracoes de suplementacao podem ser exigidos pelos pacus nessas condicoes de alta densidade de estocagem.
