Abstract

A agricultura brasileira vem passando por um periodo de reflexao (desde pesquisadores ate produtores rurais), com vistas a necessidade de mudar o sistema produtivo atualmente adotado para um modelo de maior sustentabilidade. Nesse sentido, objetivou-se avaliar o desempenho agronomico da alface “Crespa Repolhuda”, da cebola “Texas Grano 502 PRR” e da cenoura “Brasilia” em sistemas de cultivo solteiro e seus respectivos consorcios, em sistema Agroecologico. O experimento foi conduzido no campo experimental da Fundacao Universidade Federal de Rondonia – Unir, Rolim de Moura, RO. Utilizou-se o delineamento experimental em blocos casualizados completos, com seis tratamentos e cinco repeticoes. A unidade experimental foi constituida de cinco canteiros (blocos). A area de cada canteiro correspondeu a 1,5 x 12,0 m, altura de aproximadamente 0,25 m e espacamento entre canteiros de 0,50 m. Os blocos possuiam parcelas a cada 2 m, totalizando 30 parcelas. A escolha das parcelas em cada tratamento foi por sorteio. Os tratamentos consistiram de monocultivos de alface, cebola e cenoura; alem dos consorcios alface - cebola (AB); alface - cenoura (AC) e cebola – cenoura (CC), sendo que o sistema de cultivo consorciado foi com quatro fileiras de uma cultura alternadas com a outra. Os cultivos solteiros apresentaram melhor qualidade comercial para todas as culturas avaliadas. O indicador agroeconomico IEA somente para a cenoura apresentou valor superior a 1,00; nesta condicao, o resultado demonstrou a viabilidade do cultivo consorciado em ganho de producao e maior eficiencia de uso da terra, com cenoura (1,71).
