Crescimento e Nutrição de Mudas de Lafoensia pacari com Lodo de Esgoto

Abstract

RESUMO Na busca por alternativas para a destinação correta do lodo de esgoto de estações de tratamento, os objetivos deste trabalho foram: avaliar a utilização de substratos à base de lodo de esgoto para a produção de mudas de Lafoensia pacari (dedaleiro), com diferentes níveis de fertilizante, e comparar o desempenho obtido em relação às mudas produzidas em substrato comercial à base de casca de Pinus sp. Foram testados três níveis de fertilizante (0; 2,7 e 4,0 g dm-3) em três tipos de substratos: (1) comercial de casca de Pinus compostada e vermiculita; (2) à base de resíduos de podas de árvores compostadas com lodo de esgoto na proporção 3:1 (v:v), e (3) na proporção 2:1 (v:v). Foram mensuradas as seguintes variáveis: altura, diâmetro, biomassa seca (folhas, raizes e ramos), teores e quantidades de N, P e K nas folhas. Os melhores resultados para todas as variáveis foram obtidos com a utilização de lodo de esgoto compostado como substrato, apresentando diferenças significativas na maioria dos tratamentos quando comparados aos valores referentes ao substrato comercial. O uso do composto de lodo 2:1 com 2,7 g dm-3 apresentou os melhores resultados.
