Simulação do decaimento de cloro residual livre em reservatórios de distribuição de água

Abstract

O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a degradação da qualidade da água em reservatórios de distribuição do sistema integrado de abastecimento de água da cidade de Campina Grande, Paraíba. A determinação dos coeficientes cinéticos de decaimento de cloro residual livre foi levada a efeito com a aplicação dos modelos de 1ª ordem, 1ª ordem paralela, 1ª ordem limitada e ordem n. O coeficiente de velocidade de degradação de 1ª ordem foi considerado adequado para a descrição do decaimento do cloro residual livre e para a simulação do seu comportamento empregando o software EPANET 2.0. Uma importante conclusão do estudo foi que a variação temporal da concentração simulada de cloro residual livre refletiu o modo de operação de cada reservatório.
