Análise da eficiência do tratamento de efluentes em reatores UASB em Fortaleza/CE

Abstract

O município de Fortaleza-CE é atendido por diversas estações de tratamento de esgotos. Essas estações apresentam problemas operacionais que representam riscos de poluição aos corpos hídricos, necessitando, assim, de uma fiscalização constante para avaliar o atendimento à legislação ambiental. Foram avaliados a eficiência e o atendimento à legislação de 19 estações que operam com a tecnologia UASB. Para tal, foram analisados 1.770 dados mensais de qualidade obtidos junto à concessionária responsável, referentes ao período de janeiro de 2013 a julho de 2015. Foram analisados os seguintes parâmetros: Demanda Química de Oxigênio (afluente e efluente), Sólidos Suspensos Totais (efluente), pH (efluente) e E. coli (efluente). Foi observado que o atendimento à legislação ambiental está deficitário, com as seguintes porcentagens de amostras dentro dos padrões: 21% para DQO, 11% para SST, 100% para pH e 52% para E. coli. Por fim, foram sugeridas melhorias a serem implantadas pela concessionária.
