Estudo de impacto ambiental em uma pequena central hidrelétrica

Abstract

A indústria de energia elétrica encontra-se em fase de expansão, com diretrizes voltadas ao aproveitamento das usinas de pequeno porte. Segundo a resolução Conama nº 001/1986, as Pequenas Centrais Hidrelétricas - PCHs não necessitam obrigatoriamente de estudos de impacto ambiental. Contudo, salienta-se a importância de identificar os impactos ambientais, sugerir medidas mitigadoras e desenvolver um plano de monitoramento adequado. O presente trabalho consiste no estudo dos impactos ambientais da CGH Granja Velha, localizada no município de Taquaruçu do Sul - RS. O estudo utilizou uma adaptação da metodologia proposta por Leopold (1971). Durante a pesquisa, foram identificados 24 impactos ambientais, sendo que 4 deles foram positivos em alguma das etapas analisadas. Os impactos observados não chegaram a grandes magnitudes, fato que torna o empreendimento viável ambientalmente.
