Efeito da aeração por air-lift na alevinagem de tilápia do Nilo em esgoto doméstico tratado

Abstract

Com o objetivo de avaliar o desempenho da tilápia do Nilo, Oreochromis niloticus, cultivada em esgoto doméstico tratado em sistema de lagoas de estabilização, utilizaram-se doze tanques de fibra, divididos em dois tratamentos, sem e com aeração do tipo air-lift, as quais não receberam alimentação artificial. Os resultados obtidos para os tratamentos sem e com aeração artificial, respectivamente, foram: crescimento diário, 0,08 ± 0,01a e 0,10 ± 0,02b cm/dia; ganho de peso diário, 0,47 ± 0,08a e 0,65 ± 0,09b g/dia; e produtividade, 12,15 ± 0,99a e 16,24 ± 1,97b kg/ha.dia. Em relação aos parâmetros zootécnicos, é possível afirmar a viabilidade do uso do esgoto doméstico tratado no cultivo da tilápia do Nilo. No tratamento em que foi utilizada aeração por air-lift os resultados de todos os parâmetros avaliados apresentaram-se estatisticamente superiores aos do cultivo sem aeração.
