Abstract

Resumo: Este trabalho focalizou as propriedades pozolânicas de residuos de cerâmica vermelha (RCV), suas relacoes com a composicao das materias-primas utilizadas nas industrias (massas cerâmicas) e a temperatura de queima, com vistas ao aproveitamento dos RCV como produto cimenticio. A reatividade pozolânica obtida pelo Ensaio Chapelle e a composicao quimica de amostras representativas do polo cerâmico paulista de Panorama mostraram resultados promissores para o aproveitamento desses residuos como adicao mineral em cimentos e concretos. Constatou-se que o RCV podera constituir uma nova fonte de material pozolânico para a industria do cimento, que apresenta demanda emergente por adicoes minerais que agreguem, alem de beneficios tecnicos nos seus produtos, maior sustentabilidade a sua cadeia produtiva.
