Microestrutura Porosa do Porcelanato Polido Parte 2: Efeito do Tamanho de Partículas de Feldspato e Argila sobre o Manchamento

Abstract

Resumo: Este trabalho apresenta os resultados de um estudo que investigou o efeito da distribuicao de tamanhos de particulas (DTP) do feldspato e da argila que compoem uma massa padrao de porcelanato tecnico, sobre a formacao de poros do compacto verde e do produto final, utilizando a resistencia ao manchamento como parâmetro de avaliacao da porosidade superficial. Para isso, o feldspato e a argila foram moidos em distintas condicoes, sendo provocadas as alteracoes desejadas em suas DTPs. Os resultados obtidos revelam que pequenas alteracoes nas condicoes de moagem destas materias-primas sao capazes de alterar significativamente a microestrutura porosa do material e a resistencia ao manchamento do produto polido.
