<div class="htmlview paragraph">The magnetic field generated by electric vehicles are the subject of public concern. Preliminary spot measurement results confirm that electric vehicles generate transient magnetic fields which may be quantified with appropriate instrumentation. The magnetic fields created by the electric vehicle in different running and charging modes also shows the presence of high frequency components. This paper documents the preliminary measurements.</div>
