<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">The development of new automotive vehicle dynamic control systems requires a system approach from the very beginning. A multidisciplinary system approach is shown using the ABS-development as an example. Initially the control algorithm is developed using simulation. Subsequently an experimental car, which is equipped with powerful electronical hardware for digital data acquisition and real time control, is used for fast high level language implementation, test and optimization of the control algorithm.</div><div class="htmlview paragraph">For the concept definition phase and the design of new complex vehicle dynamic control systems a parallel and iterative procedure is necessary. This shortens the design phase and minimizes the development risk.</div></div>
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 1 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Top 10% | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
