<div class="htmlview paragraph">Automotive design engineers involved in reducing the susceptibility of their designs to electrical transients and suppressing any transients conducted due to switching processes in the device find their job made difficult by the lack of any specification or uniform test methods for characterizing transient waveforms. Transient waveforms obtained from the same source vary randomly, possibly due to differences in the operating and actuating conditions. Instrumentation error can also be modeled as an additive noise in the observed signal. A technique is presented in this paper to obtain a time domain difference equation model for the transients when the additive noise present in the acquired waveforms can be modeled as a non-Gaussian process.</div>
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
