Certainly the application environment determines the types of rubber,grades of rubber, and optimum compounding technology that can be used. The cost/performance relationship then determines the rubber compound that will be used in a given application. This paper concerns the uniqueness of EPDM rubbers in high heat automotive application. The most current technology to extend EPDM high heat life is featured.</div>
