Reducing the “Skid” in Log Skidders

Abstract

<div class="htmlview paragraph">The development of a line of tires designed specifically for log skidder application is described in this paper. Extreme operating conditions led to the abandonment of regular agricultural drive tires for this application. Direct performance comparisons of the new lines of log skidder tires with standard agricultural drive tires are presented.</div>
