<div class="htmlview paragraph">The integration of a molten carbonate fuel cell with a molten electrolyte battery both electrically and thermally produces a highly efficient power source with a fast transient response. Since most practical high pulse applications utilize electronic chopping circuits, microsecond and millisecond response characteristics of a power source are of importance. Ceramic monoblock construction of a hybrid package can be designed with optimum response characteristics as well as the ability to accept high reverse power flow.</div>
