<div class="htmlview paragraph">Results of recent work in the inflation of structures and of flotation and deceleration bags are presented. Solutions to the thermodynamic problems associated with rapid inflation are discussed. Various types of systems are compared with respect to weight, size, and performance. These systems include straight stored gas systems and multiple fluid systems using solid propellants and injectors.</div>
