Abstract

Il lavoro, partendo da quanto inserito nel puntootto del manifesto e da alcune considerazioni postealla base della scelta di forme di trattamento propostedalla selvicoltura classica, ha evidenziato come le forme tradizionali di uso dei boschi, basate sui saperi locali, rappresentino modalita operative che si riconducono alla selvicoltura sistemica.E stata eseguita un’analisi di quanto riportato in letteratura sull’applicazione di modelli colturali su cui si basa la selvicoltura classica, con particolare riferimentoalle faggete e alle pinete di laricio, evidenziando come spesso questi siano stati applicati indipendentementedalle condizioni strutturali dei boschi e come nelle forme codificate non abbiano trovato sempre applicazione.I risultati di numerosi studi che hanno interessato tipologie forestali diverse dell’ambiente appenninico dimostrano come la selvicoltura abbia fatto, invece, riferimento a forme tradizionali di utilizzazione dei boschi. L’applicazione del taglio a scelta colturale o a piccoli gruppi, codificato in termini tecnico-scientifici da Ciancio et al . (2004), ha confermato come la selvicoltura sistemica, avvalendosi di tecniche selvicolturali esperite nel tempo per rispondere alle esigenze delle popolazioni locali, determina una ricombinazione tra conoscenze tacitee conoscenze scientifiche.
