The Calgary Frost Heave Test Facilit y, operational since 1974, is currently being run jointly by Foothills Pipeline and Energy, Mines and Resources Canada. The scientific and engineering purposes have largely been met in terms of the frost behaviour. ln this report a science programme is outlined for conduct prior to and during the closure of the facility. The projects include geophysical surveys, drilling for core samples, excavation of the frost bulb and natural thawback of a frost bulb.
