U-Pb zircon ages of 2658.0 + 1.21-0.8 Ma and 2661 .3 +l.21-1.1 Ma were determined for Je/sic volcanic rocks in the Russell Lake and Clan Lake areas, respective/y, in the southwestern Slave Province. These are some of the youngest supracrustal rocks dated thus far in the Slave Province. Lithological and age similarities between the volcanic and iron-formation-bearing sedimentary rocks in the Russell Lake area and those in the Contwoyto Lake area suggest that these sequences may be related.
