Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16- promoting peace, justice, and strong institutions, it is key to building inclusive and accountable societies. To achieve SDG 16, this need not only systematic gap assessments and robust measures of the legal world and issue of access to justice, but also we need legal and policy innovations to bridge those gaps, as SDG 16 is demanding a whole spectrum of change. Ensuring that we have effective legal systems in place is key to upholding human rights and fighting corruption and transparency. Increasingly, we see policymakers themselves are turning to digital tools, from blockchain technology to AI-driven governance systems, to simplify legal processes, cut bureaucratic waste, and increase confidence in public institutions. Policy innovations are also essential when it comes to tackling global challenges on the rise like political instability, economic inequality, and environmental catastrophe.
