Abstract

A través del estudio del fondo Asuntos Políticos del Archivo Nacional de Cuba, este ensayo aborda la construcción de categorías sociales para enmarcar diversos fenómenos cuya expresión histórica ha sido siempre enfocada en torno a la marginalidad y la criminalidad. Se estudian las características archivísticas del conjunto documental, y se analizan algunos expedientes para reflexionar acerca de la fuerte presencia militar en la administración de justicia y la instrumentación política de categorías de orden social durante el siglo XIX.
