Abstract

El objetivo de este artículo es presentar, en primer lugar, los proyectos migratorios y de movilidad social que tuvieron inicialmente las mujeres latinoamericanas cuando llegaron a España, teniendo en cuenta la diferencia entre su carácter individual y familiar. En segundo lugar, se abordan cuáles han sido las estrategias y las elecciones de acción que se han puesto en marcha para lograr las metas soñadas. Se estudian principalmente las estrategias laborales, haciendo referencia a las estrategias residenciales, relacionales, de ahorro, consumo, ocio y tiempo libre. Se termina analizando cuáles han sido las trayectorias de movilidad social que han desarrollado las mujeres inmigrantes y sus familias, diferenciando entre las trayectorias ascendentes, descendentes o de estancamiento social. Se trata de comparar las diferencias entre los proyectos, estrategias y trayectorias que tuvieron un carácter fundamentalmente individual, con aquéllos de índole familiar, señalando las distintas pautas entre las familias transnacionales y las reagrupadas.
