Le dramaturge espagnol Juan Mayorga conçoit la réécriture, à la lumière des développements benjaminiens sur le langage, comme une opération de traduction, où l’entre-deux entre l’œuvre de départ et celle d’arrivée nous permettrait d’approcher, sans jamais véritablement l’atteindre, un certain degré de vérité et de beauté. Nous revenons dans cet article sur la question du langage chez Walter Benjamin pour étudier ensuite, dans une perspective théorique, la manière dont le phénomène de la réécriture se manifeste dans l’œuvre de Mayorga.
