Tandis que les « recherches actuelles en sciences sociales théorisent souvent la culture comme des “représentations collectives” – des vocabulaires, des symboles ou des codes – qui structurent les capacités des gens à réfléchir et à agir », Nina Eliasoph et Paul Lichterman se sont intéressés à la façon dont les groupes mettent en œuvre des formes culturelles dans les interactions quotidiennes.
