A música atua como guia narrativo em reportagens veiculadas no cinejornal cubano Noticiero ICAIC Latinoamericano (1960-1990). Por três décadas, o programa divulgou as lutas das esquerdas terceiro-mundistas, propagando um ideal de solidariedade entre os povos oprimidos pelo imperialismo. O presente estudo versa sobre as estratégias de musicalização das imagens diante do projeto cultural cubano de construção de uma identidade internacionalista e, sobretudo, latino-americana dirigida ao público cubano.
