Abstract

Résumé : Par une étude transversale de la vidéo publiée sur YouTube en octobre 2022 : « I Confronted “KPOP Stalker” — Josh (Twice Nayeon’s stalker/sasaeng fan?) », cet article vise à saisir comment la toxicité chez certains fans de K-pop se diffuse sur internet et devient un véritable phénomène populaire. L’analyse de la vidéo, de son montage et de son espace commentaires, démontre que la dénonciation mise en scène d’un comportement toxique de fan peut amener à davantage de toxicité, au cyber-vigilantism et même à des actes violents. Par son caractère transdisciplinaire et son objet d’étude, l’article propose une analyse inédite en France de la toxicité présente chez certains comportements de fans de K-pop. Il questionne aussi la place et les conséquences à court terme de la dénonciation sur les réseaux sociaux numériques, en l’occurrence YouTube, de ces attitudes nocives et dangereuses.
