El artículo reflexiona, desde un corpus de artistas y de obras específicas, sobre el arte feminista comprometido y sobre artistas chilenas feministas -y sus gestos feministas- en contextos “de cambio o de fricción”. Se centra en artistas feministas chilenas que han desarrollado un arte contestario y provocador de diálogos, surgido de distintas prácticas artísticas como la pintura, la instalación o la performance: Patricia Israel, que creó junto a Alberto Pérez la serigrafía América Despierta en 1972; la producción performática creada por Lotty Rosenfeld, ‘Una milla de cruces sobre el pavimento’, en 1979; grupos performáticos de mujeres como la Brigada Laura Rodig, que durante y después del Estallido social de 2019 han tenido un destacado papel con obras de arte y ciudad. Las artistas nombradas no solo han energizado con sus acciones a la comunidad en su conjunto, sino que le han permitido un despliegue anímico y conceptual para exigir justicia (respeto por los derechos humanos, dignidad, igualdad de derecho para las mujeres) y han respaldado con su accionares la búsqueda de nuevos acuerdos sociales, más democráticos.
