Abstract

En Guyane, 75 % de la population ne parle pas français avant d’aller à l’école. Or l’enseignement se déroule en français, sans adaptation particulière. La conséquence ? Un échec scolaire massif. 56 % des Guyanais finissent leur scolarité sans diplôme. Une réalité contre laquelle des mouvements de revendication locaux se sont érigés dans les années 1990.
