Este trabajo se centra en el análisis de la Laus Hispanaie del sermón Exultemus copiado en el Códice Calixtino. Los datos aportados permiten afirmar que dicha laus se manifiesta como un paso intermedio entre el texto de Isidoro de Sevilla y los historiadores y poetas del siglo XIII. Por otra parte, el estudio de esta pieza encomiástica sirve para comprobar la unidad compositiva no solo de los cinco libros que componen el Calixtino, sino del sermonario atribuido al papa Calixto.
