Abstract

Le premier syndicat de journalistes (historiquement et par l’audience), le SNJ, est un syndicat catégoriel. On analyse la manière dont il participe à la régulation de cette profession, en interrogeant l’existence d’une division du travail syndical entre ce syndicat non confédéré et les syndicats confédérés. Pour cela, on envisage le SNJ à partir de ses dynamiques institutionnelles et de ses revendications et mobilisations collectives, afin d’analyser l’articulation entre catégoriel, corporatiste, professionnel, et salarial. Si le SNJ se centre sur la défense de la profession et de ses normes, il est également présent dans la défense des enjeux plus classiques liés au salariat. Son organisation et son action sont finalement assez proches de celles des organisations non catégorielles.
