Abstract

La crise ivoirienne (1999-2011) est en partie la conséquence de l’exclusion des cadets de l’accès aux ressources foncières dans le centre et l’ouest de la zone forestière. La fin du « compromis houphouëtien » qui permettait aux étrangers d’accéder à la terre et aux jeunes autochtones de s’émanciper par la migration vers les centres urbains s’est notamment traduite par un retour massif des jeunes vers leurs localités d’origines. Confrontés à un durcissement des règles lignagères, ils critiquent et transforment ces règles afin d’acquérir une meilleure autonomie politique. À partir de l’exemple du village de Mahidio, cet article contribue à la réflexion sur les recompositions des pouvoirs au village en insistant sur la dimension politique des mobilités en lien avec les enjeux fonciers.
