Nanotechnologies l’invisible révolution

Abstract

Les nanotechnologies sont des technologies de pointe très récentes qui pourtant nous accompagnent déjà au quotidien (cosmétique, vêtements, automobile, médecine, etc.). En quelques décennies, elles sont devenues un enjeu mondial dans lequel sont impliqués non seulement chercheurs, industriels et États, mais aussi les citoyens que nous sommes. Les nanotechnologies ne sont en effet pas uniquement une affaire de physique ou de chimie, elles sont un défi posé à la société quant à la manière de réussir leur inscription sociétale. C´est l´objet de cet ouvrage que d´essayer de comprendre ceux qui font des nanotechnologies, pourquoi ils le font, quelles sont celles qui sont déjà commercialisées et celles qui relèvent pour le moment de l´exploration et de l´imagination. Cette connaissance est essentielle car, en fonction de ce que nous ferons de ces nanotechnologies, l´humanité prendra des tours bien différents.
