Abstract

Résumé Dans la série de termes désignant le chez-soi, l’auteur en retient trois à partir du verbe habiter. C’est un mot riche car il déborde le fait d’être logé pour l’être qui en est le sujet. Le philosophe Henri Lefebvre introduira cette notion dans la sociologie urbaine française. L’habitat est un concept large qui comprend l’habitation mais pas seulement : le trajet, le voisinage, les connaissances et les intérêts marquent un territoire. Si l’habitat relève en grande partie des compétences de l’architecte et de l’urbaniste, “l’habiter” dépend de la capacité de chacun d’être présent au monde.
