Abstract

L’accent mis sur la souffrance individuelle telle qu’elle est analysée en France se singularise par la dissolution du lien social. Pourquoi avancer cette thèse, appuyée sur une analyse comparative avec les États-Unis ? Pourquoi ces malheurs intimes deviennent-ils si envahissants à notre époque ? Quel est le rôle de notre culture politique dans cette histoire de la subjectivité ? Comment pourrions-nous sortir de cette angoisse hexagonale de la perte des relations ?
