Abstract

Le DBA est un doctorat d’une valeur équivalente à celle du PhD, mais il joue un rôle distinct dans le système d’enseignement supérieur. Les programmes sont idéalement conçus pour développer le capital intellectuel des entreprises, car les cadres supérieurs et les dirigeants qui terminent le programme contribuent à la fois aux connaissances académiques de l’entreprise et de la gestion et à l’avancement de la pratique des affaires. Les diplômés continuent généralement à appliquer les capacités de réflexion complexes qu’ils ont développées au profit des organisations et de la société plutôt que de devenir des universitaires à plein temps, bien que certains d’entre eux se lancent dans des carrières multiples. Ce chapitre explore plus en détail les raisons pour lesquelles certains choisissent le DBA plutôt que le PhD et les différences essentielles entre les programmes.
