Abstract

Dans cet extrait du manifeste du groupe Ecology Action Eas datant de décembre 1969, Murray Bookchin montre combien la réponse à la crise écologique ne pourra se limiter à une critique de la technologie et de la croissance démographique mais passera nécessairement par une remise en cause de l’emprise de la société hiérarchique. Il s’agit pour lui d’éliminer la hiérarchie en tant que telle, tous les modes de domination sexuelle et parentale, toutes les classes sociales et toutes les formes de propriété. Autrement dit d’abolir les systèmes de domination et de répression qui ont dressé l’homme contre l’homme et contre la nature.
