La Querelle des Femmes et l’histoire de la philosophie féministe

Abstract

Cet article s’intéresse à la question de la nature et de la valeur des femmes de la fin du xve siècle jusqu’au xvii e siècle en Italie, dans le contexte de la Querelle des femmes. Il considère des œuvres négligées par les philosophes et souvent traitées comme mineures, même par les spécialistes de la littérature. Il offre une brève analyse des arguments présentés dans ces œuvres, afin de mettre en lumière leur caractère philosophique. Il reconstruit ensuite les raisons qui expliquent peut-être leur exclusion et soutient que ces raisons ne sont pas convaincantes, surtout si nous souhaitons reconstituer une histoire de la philosophie qui inclut les femmes ainsi que les questions qui les animent.
