Abstract

Résumé L’apparition des « logiciels libres » introduit une nouvelle dimension dans la problématique de choix d’un outil informatique. Les logiciels sous licence libre sont de plus en plus utilisés pour des applications métiers dans les différents domaines de la gestion de l’information. Si beaucoup d’éléments plaident pour le libre, ne faut-il pas peser tous les éléments avant de choisir ? La couverture fonctionnelle est-elle comparable à celle des progiciels ? Quels sont les coûts réels ? Quelles compétences faut-il pour mettre en œuvre et maintenir ces outils ? C’est à ces questions que se proposait de répondre la journée d’étude organisée le 11 mai à Paris par la commission Techniques et méthodes documentaires de l’ADBS.
