Adaptación e invención de la leyenda de los infantes de Lara en el teatro español

Abstract

A partir des travaux de Marcelino Menendez y Pelayo et Ramon Menendez Pidal, nous etudierons la transformation des aspects populaires et legendaires dans le corpus theâtral sur la legende medievale des Enfants / fils de Lara. Nous apportons de nouvelles references sur les pieces du theâtre espagnol traitant le sujet des Enfants durant les xvie, xviie et xixe siecles. Nous presentons et analysons deux pieces de Francisco Altes qui etaient portees disparues et qui, heureusement, ont ete retrouvees: Gonzalo Bustos et Mudarra. Dans la deuxieme partie, nous approfondissons l’etude des particularites, externes et internes, experimentees par le recit legendaire lorsqu’il passe au genre classique. Notre conclusion est qu’il existe un mouvement pendulaire qui va de la mise en scene de la vengeance, au xvie siecle, a une dramatisation de la trahison et/ou vengeance qui a change de sens, au xixe siecle, en passant par une vision complete de la legende dans les pieces du xviie siecle.
