Scilab: un logiciel libre de calcul scientifique*

Abstract

Scilab est un logiciel de calcul sdientifique qui fournit un environnement de developpement puissant et ouvert pour les applications scientifiques et l'ingenierie. Il est distribue librement sur Internet depuis 1994 avec son code source. Il est actuellement utilise dans les domaines de l'education et de l'industrie dans le monde entier. Depuis mai 2003, afin d'assurer son futur, Scilab est pris en charge par le consortium Scilab qui reunit des academiques et des industriels. L'equipe operationnelle du consortium s'occupe du developpement, de la maintenance et du support de Scilab. Cette equipe est hebergee et partiellement soutenue par l'INRIA.
